For over a hundred years, Community Coffee had stayed exactly where it began: a business run by the same family, out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where things move a little slower and a lot more flavorfully.
Four generations in, and the name on the bag hadn't changed, and neither had the standard: strong coffee, made with family in mind, and a little Cajun soul in every batch. "Strong as our roots" grew out of exactly that: a nod to the family history behind the brand, and the bold, no-shortcuts coffee in the cup.
That standard had grown to find its way into home kitchens nationwide, and eventually 30,000 feet up, on every Southwest Airlines flight. From there, we grew the roots wider (and deeper). Community found a home in rodeo, where grit and family ran just as deep as their brand, becoming the official coffee of the PRCA and the Wrangler NFR, and standing behind athletes who never cut corners either.
Next came a younger crowd of coffee drinkers who wanted their coffee stronger and their mornings with a little more second line action in their step. That's where Dark & Bold came in, along with a series of ready-to-drink lattes for whenever they needed it on the go. Same roots, reaching out.
And reaching out is exactly what those roots did when the Gulf Coast needed it most, backing hurricane relief efforts across the region Community Coffee has always called home.
A hundred years, four generations, one family. STILL strong as THEIR roots.
